Meet the Festival Board

In July 2017, the Third Street Songwriters Festival started a Festival Board. Board members were selected because they are active in the local music scene and/or in the growth and vitalization of downtown Baton Rouge. Working together this board has the vision of making the Third Street Songwriters Festival continue to grow and become a destination festival for downtown Baton Rouge while strengthening our already growing music scene in the capital city.

Festival Board members include Kay McHenry Solar, the Festival Founder and Producer; Renee Chatelain, President and CEO of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge; Casey Tate, Special Event and Marketing Coordinator for Downtown Development District; Karron Alford, Director of Marketing and Technology at Visit Baton Rouge; Lauren Lambert-Tompkins, Managing Director, Downtown Business Association; Chris Maxwell, owner of the Red Dragon Listening Room and Executive Director of the Louisiana Americana & Folk Society; and musician Michael Foster of the Michael Foster Project.
